Solar Heterogeneous Photocatalysis as Rainfall Treatment: from Laboratory to Real Sanitary Use in Elementary Schools Into Economic Unfavorable Urban Areas from Mexico City
Abstract
An important number of elementary schools in Mexico have not basic sanitary infrastructure: drinking water supply, sewer system or electricity are not full available for teachers and main scholar population. Moreover, hydric stress is remarkably high in urban dense poor areas. In this conditions it results imperative to develop sustainable rainfall capture systems together with sustainable solar treatments. This work relates the design, construction, installation and startup of a solar photocatalytic treatment of rainfall in an elementary school into economic unfavorable urban area in Iztapalapa district in Mexico City.
