Life Cycle Analysis of a Polymer Black Liquid Flat Plate Collector
Abstract
Solar hot water/heating technologies are becoming widespread reaching 196 GWth for 2010, more than doubling the installed capacity of 2004, therefore significantly contributing to the hot water/heating markets worldwide. China currently accounts for more than 58% of the total installed capacity, European countries account for 19%, followed by the United States of America, Australia and Japan (IEA-SHC, 2011). Space heating from solar energy is gaining ground in several countries, although the primary application remains hot water production usually in the form of Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems (DSHWS).
