Abstract
The solar radiation reaching the ground level on horizontal surfaces is of paramount importance in many applications, from climate to health (ESRA, 2000), and of course for the production of energy: heat, electricity. This communication deals with the amount of energy received during a day on a surface of 1 m² located at ground surface and integrated over the whole spectrum of the solar radiation. This density of energy is called daily solar irradiation.
