Abstract

In recent years a novel approach for the generation of residential load profiles was developed. It is based on an agent-simulation that models each person in a household as separate software agent. For a new project this model has now been extended to also include transportation and travel times. This makes it possible to generate highly realistic mobility profiles. The model then uses measurement data from real cars, scaled to the correct energy amount to generate the load profile for the entire year, including availability times when the car could have been charged. This is highly relevant in the context of PV system integration since electromobility will be one major driver of future electricity demand.
