Abstract

This work presents a 2D heat transfer and mechanical analysis in a tube of a solar tower receiver operated with sodium. Some Nusselt number correlations for liquid metals are tested and their effect on the temperature distribution and thermal stress predictions are studied. Finally, a recommendation of the most adequate correlation will be made.
