Mathematical Modeling of Rotating Sorption Heat Storages
Abstract
We present a mathematical model for a continuously rotating sorption reactor. Unlike in fixed-bed sorption reactors, there is a continuous movement of the sorptive material causing a rather unified saturation of the material with water vapor instead of a reaction front travelling through the storage. The developed model takes absolute humidity, mass flow and temperature of air coming into the reactor as dynamic input quantities and delivers the temperature and total power obtained as output quantities
