Photovoltaic Distributed Generation in Brazil: Investment Valuation for the 27 Capital Cities
Abstract
This paper presents investment valuations on Photovoltaic (PV) Distributed Generation (DG), on systems simulated for the 27 Brazilian capital cities (from all the 26 states and the Federal District), for start of operation on May/2013 and on Mar/2019, and compares the results of these analyses. The article also presents analyses of Brazilian: PV-DG prices and market evolution, residential energy tariff prices average annual increase. The sensibility of the return of the investment to variations in the rate of increase of the energy tariff, and to variations in the PV systems prices is also analyzed. In the final paper, the analyses of Mar/2019 will be updated to May/2019. With this, comparisons also updated between May/2019 and May/2013 will be presented – that is, between six full years.
