Abstract

The Altiplanic of Bolivia has one of the best solar resources in the world that, combined with its unique geographical, hydrological, climatological and other aspects, makes it an ideal place for the implementation of different solar projects. In addition, it has different mineral deposits such as Tin, Silver, Zinc, Antimony, Gold, Lead, Copper, Lithium and others, who are exploited in unsustainable ways with the environment. Currently, through solar energy is intended to provide sustainable solutions to different processes of mining, which is directly related to the economic cost of electricity, this due to the different subsidies that the state of Bolivia makes at the price of electric power, in addition to that this area is isolated from the national interconnected system. In this publication, the economic technical analysis of a 60 MW power plant will be presented, which can then be compared with a real plant of the same capacity.
