Experimental Investigation and Characterization of Façade Integrated PVT Collectors With and Without Insulation
Abstract
The performances of two unglazed PVT collectors based on aluminum absorbers integrated into a concrete wall were measured at a test facility. One PVT collector was installed in direct contact with a concrete wall and the other was installed with 10 mm of Styrofoam between the PVT collector and the concrete wall. The wind speed and direction were measured on the PVT collector’s plane. A wind dependent efficiency expression was determined using the quasi-dynamic test method in periods when the PV component was connected and disconnected.
