Abstract

This paper simulates and evaluates the performance of a PV cooperative consisting by multiple micro-generators: 20 clustered individual rooftop PV installations – a PV virtual power plant (PV-VPP) – applied to homes in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil, and in the concession area of the same utility. A group of micro generators which work collaboratively and attends the requirements ANEEL’s normative instruction (NI) 482/2012, updated through NI 687/2015. This case study analyzes the home consumptions and then simulates the application of building applied photovoltaic (BAPV) system on the rooftops. The analysis shows the individual performance for each residence and its performance when it is associated in a PV-VPP.
