Global Solar Transmittance of Vertical Glazings Oriented Towards the Equator
Abstract
Different models for the global solar transmittance of a vertical glazing oriented towards the equator are considered. Models that take into account the diffuse fraction of global solar radiation have a better performance than directional models or simply setting a constant transmittance. Using a simple separation model for the diffuse fraction has little effect on the overall performance. An improved transmittance model framework is introduced and tested.
