Solar Energy Opportunity Map for the Spanish Microbrewery Industry
Abstract
In the present study an opportunity map for solar energy integration in Spanish microbreweries is developed. A solar thermal system and a photovoltaic system are modelled in TRNSYS for all the Spanish province capitals. When the conventional energy source for heat is natural gas, the solar thermal system is not attractive without subsidized under the current scenario. However, when the energy employed is electricity from the grid, both solar thermal and PV present economic benefits under certain configurations of the scenario like solar system size and production schedule.
