Modeling of a Solar Heat for Industrial Processes (SHIP) System using Fresnel Collectors
Abstract
A quasi-dynamic model has been developed to simulate the dynamics and energy performance of a SHIP system with Fresnel collectors under different control schemes and with variable heat demand. The preliminary model validation has been carried out with measurements obtained from the SOLPINVAP experimental facility in Almazora, Spain. This facility comprises a modular Fresnel collector solar field and a kettle reboiler. Results show that the final predicted generated energy is in the same order of magnitude as the measured generated energy, and the overall system dynamics are reproduced accurately.
