Simplified Thermal Performance Model for the Design of a PVT Heat Exchanger Dedicated to Solar-assisted Heat Pump
Abstract
With the aim of designing the most efficient photovoltaic-thermal hybrid solar panel (PVT) dedicated to heat pump coupling, it has been developed a simplified steady-state 2D-1D model and numerical simulation to compare different solutions from their exchange capacity with the ambient air. It allowed apprehending thermal couplings between the different constituent elements from conductive and/or convective heat transfers, and the different contributions linked with geometry variability. While keeping a global vision of the problem, it has been possible to focus on key choices (fin height, number of fins) and find optimum solutions. This work would later benefit from being confronted to experimental results and being completed by dynamic modelling and Finite Volume Method for validation and finer understanding purposes.
