Abstract

Several photovoltaics (PV) modules differing by architecture or technology are tested under field conditions. For each type of PV, two modules are tested: one with a photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) loop cooling the module, the other without any loop. A comparative analysis is run between modules of different technologies, and between cooling loop and no cooling for each module. The benefice of cooling for each technology is thus evaluated. In addition, the heat extractable from each module is measured, and the global efficiency of each system can be estimated. The differences between different PV technologies are evaluated and discussed.
