Abstract

The calculation of weighted coefficients is essential for accurately estimating the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) inverters under real operating conditions. It enables fair comparisons between devices and better adaptation to the climatic characteristics of each region, contributing to the optimized selection of inverters and improved performance of PV systems. To enable the calculation of the weighted efficiency for different geographic locations, a dedicated algorithm was developed. This algorithm automates the generation of the weighted coefficients and was fully implemented as a software tool. The application is capable of processing large volumes of irradiance data, extracting the necessary information, and producing the weighted coefficients in a structured format. This work presents the design and implementation of an algorithm for calculating weighted coefficients, automated through a dedicated software tool.
