Small Scale Solar Thermal Heat Integration in District Heating Networks
Abstract
The first part of the paper describes the aspects of the mathematical modelling of decentralized integration of solar thermal in district heating networks. An attempt has been made to integrate the solar thermal energy with a simplified model of district heating network within the simulation environment INSEL. The second part of the paper presents the results obtained with the new test bench implemented for decentralized integration of small-scale solar thermal plants. The designed test bench provides certain checks for applicability of substations to be used in conventional water based heating systems under different operational conditions of pressure and feed temperature.
